Dedicated fisher*woman*

My 12 year old niece, Alyviah, never ceases to amaze me.  She's not your "typical" girl.  She can be "girly" when she needs to be, but she is a full fledged TomBoy at heart.  From the time she was 2, she was fishing, and hunting and everything in between.  I'll never forget when she was about 2, she was telling her great Aunt Danita about a turkey they'd killed that had a "30 pound beard!"  Classic.

Oh, and as for sports, this girl is gifted in a way that blows my mind.  She loves to play sports, and it's a good thing, because she amazes me just to watch her.

Now, Liv has come up with some doozies in her 12 years, so I can't wait to see what the next 12 brings.  But her latest shenanigan definitely takes the cake as of recent.  Last Saturday, she was fishing up at Cliffside Lake.  Well, she hooked one, and was reeling it in.  Right as she got it to the bank at the edge of the water, the fish come off her line.  Well, this fish had at that point, had a bad day.  Alyviah was NOT about to let her 2nd fish of the day get away.  She didn't even realize what she'd done, till after she'd done it.  Nevermind the brand new jeans or Hollister shirt.  This fish was hers!  So, in the lake she goes, after this fish, and catches it with her bare hands.  Yep.  Only Alyviah.  The kid is talented in more ways than one!
