I'm sure you're wondering what on earth kind of name "Foody" is. But, it's perfect for this little gem. He likes to EAT. So, my oldest son Pierce, appropriately named him Foody....and it stuck like glue.
I honestly never dreamed to even have him for this long. But, here he is. He lives in a nice tank and just hangs out. He doesn't move around a whole lot, unless he is excited. When his tank is being cleaned and he is removed from it, he is quite happy to be returned to his home; so this is one of those "excited" moments.
I love turtles. However, I never thought I could actually get attached to one, other than a sea turtle...and most certainly not a snapping turtle. But, Foody has proved me wrong. He's quite funny, and actually does his own little things that make me smile or laugh, just like a dog or cat does. When I enter the room where his tank is kept, he notices me right away. Again, another "excited" moment. :) He starts "dancing" back and forth in his tank trying to get my attention. Usually because he, of course, is ready to eat. He will even start trying to "climb" as if to tell me to hurry up.
If you're wondering what he eats, he likes itty bitty little dried shrimp and such, but his favorite is just plain old aquatic turtle food.
If you've ever pondered having a "different" animal, reptile, etc., for a pet, I say go for it! Foody is quite the unusual pet to have, and I do appreciate the smiles he brings to my face. Love him. :)
P.S. Sorry for the blurry mobile pics.
